UGREEN CM725 USB-C Video Capture Card (25772)
The UGREEN CM725 USB-C Video Capture Card (25772) is a versatile solution for capturing, recording, and streaming video from compatible USB-C source devices. It supports up to 4K@30Hz video input and up to 2K@30Hz capture, while also supporting 1080P@60Hz for smoother Full HD recording. Unlike conventional HDMI capture cards, the CM725 is designed around a USB-C video input, making it suitable for compatible smartphones, tablets, laptops, gaming handhelds, and other USB-C devices capable of video output. It also combines USB-A and USB-C host connectivity with 100W PD charging, making it convenient for extended gaming, streaming, and recording sessions.
4K USB-C Input & 2K Capture
The UGREEN CM725 accepts video through its USB-C input at up to 4K@30Hz and can capture or record at up to 2K@30Hz. It also supports 1080P@60Hz, providing a practical option when smoother motion is more important than higher resolution.
This makes the CM725 well suited for:
- Mobile gaming and game streaming
- Screen recording
- Live broadcasting
- Tutorials and presentations
- Meeting recording
- Compatible gaming handhelds and tablets
Important: A USB-C port does not automatically support video output. The connected source device must support USB-C video output.
100W PD Charging & USB 3.0 Connectivity
A major advantage of the CM725 is its USB-C PD charging support up to 100W. This allows a compatible source device to remain powered while video is being captured, which is particularly useful during long gaming or streaming sessions. Actual charging power depends on the charger and connected device. Manuals+ The capture card also provides USB 3.0 connectivity with up to 5Gbps transmission bandwidth, helping deliver stable data transfer for supported capture modes. Its dual USB-A and USB-C host connectivity makes it convenient to connect with different computers and compatible devices.
Plug-and-Play Streaming & Broad Compatibility
The UGREEN CM725 is designed for easy plug-and-play operation and works with popular recording and streaming applications such as OBS Studio, XSplit, PotPlayer, and QuickTime Player. Supported operating systems include Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android, depending on the connected device and configuration.
Its compact aluminum-alloy construction makes it suitable for portable streaming setups. The CM725 can be used with compatible USB-C smartphones, tablets, laptops, gaming handhelds, and other video-output devices.
Gaming, Recording & Important Compatibility Notes
The CM725 is designed for USB-C video sources rather than standard HDMI sources. UGREEN documentation and product information list applications involving mobile gaming, tablets, gaming handhelds and compatible Switch setups. For Nintendo Switch use in certain configurations, external power of at least 15V may be required.
It is important not to describe the CM725 as a 4K recording capture card. Its correct capability is up to 4K@30Hz input → up to 2K@30Hz capture, with 1080P@60Hz support.
